First Run

We had our first "group" run. (Me, Todd and....well, the two of us). Late scheduling (my fault!) was to blame but it was a good run. 5-6M, from Community Park down to Pennemite which we took for a few miles and turned around and came back. 50 mins.

E-mail will be posted soon to the Google Group for preferred days/times in the next few weeks and we'll really get the ball rolling.

Thanks to everyone who attended the first meeting. Questionnaires have been processed and an invitation e-mail was sent for the Google Group List Serv. For those that could not attend tonight- feel free to post a comment to this blog posting or e-mail me and I will be in touch..

Update

Some updates:

-Getting in touch this week with the Livonia Library on a room reservation. Day/time will likely be Thursday at 6:30 with date unknown. Probably April 23rd. Check back for details.
-Ran 11 this AM. Home to 20A to Pennemite to Cleary Rd to Federal Rd to 20A to home. Cold and windy on top of Federal Road. Brought cards with me on the run with number and website address but didn't see any runners! :(
-Checked out RRCA the national association of Road Running clubs. Found lots of good tips and informational items for starting new clubs.

Hi - My wife and I are starting a new running club -- Conesus Lake Road Runners -- and we're interested in potential members from Livonia, Lakeville or anywhere around! Look soon for an ad in the PennySaver with 1st Meeting details. The plan is for an informal group of mixed talent/speed runners for weekend runs, potential race development and general community work and comraderie. E-mail me if interested!

Plan is for info blitz (Penny Saver, grocery store/church/library bulletin boards) with an eventual "interested potential member" meeting at the Livonia Library in a few weeks.
